WHO WE ARE
We are an independent women-led bookstore located in Shades of Petals floral and décor in Tarzana, CA. Shades of Petals is a family-owned business passionate about creating elegant custom flower designs of the highest quality. It was founded by Sanaz’s mother, Maryam Tamjidi. Inspired by her mother, Sanaz founded Sunny’s Bookshop, after her nickname, to create a space where readers and writers can connect and celebrate storytelling.
MEET SUNNY
Sanaz Tamjidi (Sunny) is a screenwriter, producer, and filmmaker who decided to fulfill her dream and open a bookstore in the city she grew up in. She received her BA in Psychology from UCLA and is currently an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Antioch University Los Angeles. Transitioning to a career in storytelling, Sanaz feels inspired to incorporate her psychological and mental health knowledge into crafting stories that focus on pivotal human truths within exciting and provocative plots.

We currently only ship nationally within the United States. Due to restrictions, we are unable to ship to Hawaii at this time.
